With researchers from MIT, produced report on market-rate eviction filings in Boston for City Life/Vida Urbana (download at bostonevictions.org). The report made the front page of the Sunday Boston Globe and was covered dozens of times in various local and national media, helping to frame the eviction crisis as a racial justice issue.

Worked closely with contractor to build micro-site for mass call and email tools in support of eviction prevention legislation during pandemic. Using these tools, the Homes for All Mass Coalition generated over 2,000 calls and 5,500 emails to Massachusetts legislators in English and Spanish.

Pitched and coordinated story on rent hikes, evictions, and the right to counsel in housing court with New England Center for Investigative Journalism.

Renters Rising campaign

• Acquired 500+ signatures with online rent control pledge
• Developed digital organizing strategy (peer-to-peer texting, patch-through calls, email and social media) for Renters Rising campaign to move legislation out of MA State House housing committee, using Salsa, Nationbuilder, NGP VAN, ThuText, and other tools.
• Currently sharing call-to-action with 10k+ residents via text/call tools.

Suffolk Downs campaign

For over a year, I coordinated online organizing for the community-driven campaign around Boston’s largest proposed housing development at Suffolk Downs, a former racetrack.

• Generated 230 personalized emails to legislative targets via DoGooder app
• In 3 weeks, acquired 750 signatures on a Nationbuilder petition demanding an emergency meeting with electeds
• Coordinate bilingual social media campaign with the communications committee of the new grassroots PUEBLO coalition, using #NuestroSuffolkDowns and #OurSuffolkDowns

Designed four annual reports for the housing justice organization City Life/Vida Urbana.

Produced and edited mini-documentary on the 45-year-history and victories of the housing justice non-profit City Life/Vida Urbana.
