With years of experience in mass media – from press relations to digital organizing, print design to video and radio production, web development to social media – I’m seeking employment in mission-based communications. My background includes:

• Over six years of experience as Communications Manager at City Life/Vida Urbana, a housing justice non-profit with a formidable local impact and a strong national following. I’ve built a local and national press network, produce all press communications and events, and coordinate over 70 media appearances annually. I’ve also produced dozens of videos, manage all social media channels, and leverage digital organizing tools for large campaigns.

• Several years as Director of KidsArts! Multicultural Afterschool and Summer Program, a position which involved communications at its core. In this role I managed all communications, including the organization’s entire online presence, all email campaigns, marketing and event promotion. I worked with the KidsArts! Board of Directors to rebrand programs and design a consistent brand campaign.

• Steadfast work as a neighborhood organizer for economic and racial justice, scripting and producing video and email campaigns to share stories from the frontlines of gentrification in my neighborhood.

• Several years as an independent radio journalist, including national syndication on Free Speech Radio News.
